EIT MicroCure calibration in Europe
Instrument category: Compact UV energy measurement instrument.
LightingLab supports European industrial and laboratory customers with UV measurement instrument calibration enquiries. The correct service depends on the exact detector, wavelength response, measurand and accredited scope.
Measurement-specific assessment
Why this model needs individual assessment
The instrument is placed in the curing process; its position, exposure duration and orientation can affect the accumulated reading.
Details to include with the instrument
Confirm the MicroCure variant, its stated measurement band, the display units and whether the customer needs integrated radiant exposure rather than an instantaneous irradiance result.
Practical process consideration
For a conveyor process, provide conveyor speed, lamp type and the intended sensor travel path. A stationary irradiance reference does not by itself verify the full process-integrated dose response.
Calibration versus conformity assessment
A calibration reports measurement results and their uncertainty under defined conditions. A pass/fail statement additionally requires a specified tolerance and decision rule, including any agreed guard band. Neither a conformity statement nor accredited coverage is assumed for this instrument.
Instrument-specific calibration considerations
Confirm detector geometry, source spectrum and energy measurement method. Measurement of integrated energy is not interchangeable with irradiance calibration.
Typical application
Compact UV curing applications.
Information needed for a quotation
- Exact model and detector
- Instrument model, serial number, probe or sensor type and firmware if relevant.
- Measurement requirement
- Requested UV band, irradiance (W/m² or mW/cm²), radiant exposure (J/m² or mJ/cm²), measurement range and reference source.
- Certificate and decision rule
- Specify whether ISO/IEC 17025 accredited results, uncertainty statement or a conformity assessment are required. Availability must be confirmed against the laboratory's current scope.
